So, it was pretty much a chaotic situation with everyone rushing and trying to scan all the corners of that hall when I first time entered this amusing place called IIIT-D with a bag in one hand and a wet umbrella in the other. There was a game going on in which we had to find some sticky notes which were hidden all around the 1st floor of the seminar block. Those notes had random words on them which we were supposed to use to form movie names, easy? yes, it seems but it took me a significant amount of time to understand what was going on which was enough to conclude that event. This marks the start of an amazing week which none of the freshers at IIIT-D can ever forget.
I was finding myself like a buffalo in a bunch of cows because of the big wet umbrella and a traveling bag that I was carrying from east to west so I went to get a hostel room unaware of where it actually is. Misinterpreting what a senior told me I somehow reached a building which was seeming like a hostel to me right from when I saw it for the first time. Sadly, I wasn’t allowed into it. That building was nothing but the faculty residence.
Finally, after roaming around the campus I managed to find Mr.Ravi and he told me that my room no. is ‘C-614’. Unfortunately, I was smart enough that C didn’t bother me and I went to the new boy's hostel searching for room ‘614’. Finding Mtech students in that room I realized the importance of that ‘C’ I ignored. Those Mtech students almost made their mind of having a guest but I resisted as 3 living in a room of 2 seemed impossible though on the same night we were 4 in a room of 2. Finally, I reached my room left my bag there and went back to see those new faces doing some ludicrous activities. This was all about my first hour at IIIT-D, I don't think I could have had a more happening one than this.
